Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet has jumped into the Democratic scrum for the presidency. I foresee the following scenario. Biden sustains his lead for a few months and makes the case for a pragmatic path to defeating Trump. The Left pretty much vetoes Biden, who stumbles himself. And then voters turn to an untarnished, experienced, purple-state moderate, such as Klobachar or Bennet. I like the Bennet resume: business experience, top deputy mayor of Denver, Denver school superintendent, family of public service, strong appeal in a purple state, smart and effective and well liked.
